FAQ

Where will the photo session take place?

I’ll work with you to find the perfect location for your shoot, offering multiple suggestions until we land on the one that best fits your vision. Prefer to stay in? I can bring my studio lights and setup directly to your home, so you can enjoy a professional-quality photo shoot without ever having to step outside.

What should I wear to look my best in the photos?

Please try to coordinate your outfits and avoid clothing with large logos, bright colors or wording.  This will divert attention away from the subjects.  Here are some suggestions to help you prepare for your session:
• Choose solid colored clothing so that we can see all of your faces and no specific person will stand out in the session.

• Choose muted tones so that you are the subject and not your outfits.

• Choose similar tones for your top and bottom.  If you choose a lighter top and darker bottoms, it will make your top look larger and vice versa.

• Select a few colors with similar tones when there will be multiple people in your session or you can choose the matching look, but that is up to you.

• Choose tops with sleeves or at least to your elbow.  Your arms take up more skin area than your face and have a tendency of making your arms look larger.

• Choose accessories appropriate for the outfits you choose and try to pick timeless pieces.

• Style your hair and makeup in a way you would normally style it for the type of outfit you choose.

• Plan your outfit days before your session so you can get plenty of rest the night before your session and are not rushing the day of your session to pull everything together.

How do I schedule a session?

After sending us your information, contact me to verify we are available on the day you desire.  For outdoor sessions, we suggest early morning appointments or late afternoon appointments in order to obtain the best lighting.  Once you determine we are available for your session, we can make arrangements to purchase your photo session.

Do I have to order prints through you?

Not necessarily, although we do provide professional and high quality prints. Our options for prints include photographic paper, art paper, and canvas. If you are interested in any of these options and would like to order prints through us, please let us know so we can give you an estimated price.

Photo Etiquett

I dedicate a lot of time and creativity to provide my client the best photo shoot experience. With that in mind, please remember that these photos are part of my life’s work. The only approved camera that should be used during these sessions is my own, anyone accompanying my clients should not use CAMERAS or PHONES to take photos of the models during our session.
